New book releases always get us excited and the first week of June is full of new books written by some amazing authors. There are hundreds of books being released throughout the week, but there are a few that we are really looking forward to.

Queen of the Trailer Park (Rosie Maldonne’s World Book 1) by Alice Quinn Alice
What happens when an underemployed waitress living in a trailer park finds an envelope full of cash in a fast food place dumpster? We are dying to find out the answer to that question when Queen of the Trailer Park comes out. The first book in what we are hoping is a promising new mystery series.

Dead Ice (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter) by Laurell K. Hamilton
The 23rd book in a series that includes a cameo from every supernatural creature that springs to mind. Of all the books in the long running series Obsidian Butterfly is one of our personal favorites. Unfortunately, the series has taken multiple turns and after Jason most of us Book Fanatics fell of the wagon. We are all hoping that Dead Ice brings back the Anita that we love and includes a well thought out mystery that we can all enjoy.

Finders Keepers: A Novel by Stephen King
Going back to his roots Stephen King has created another character whose obsession with his favorite author has gone a little too far. After murdering his favorite author for the crime of selling out, Morris Bellamy steals the authors money and manuscripts. When someone else finds Morris’s hidden treasure Morris finds another object for his obsession. Stephen King fans are in for a treat if Stephen King is able to reproduce anything that comes close to Misery.

From a High Tower (Elemental Masters) by Mercedes Lackey
One of our favorite authors is back with the 11th book in the Elemental Masters series. This time Lackey is taking on the story of Rapunzal with one of her infamous twists. From a High Tower tells the story of Rapunzal’s less than happy ending and I am looking forward to reading this new take on one of my favorite fairy tales.
